The Ford-Faesch House was built in 1768 by Colonel Jacob Ford, builder of the Ford Mansion in Morristown, also known as Washington’s Headquarters. In 1772 Ford leased the house and its associated ironworks to Swiss emigree John Jacob Faesch. Under the direction of Faesch, the ironworks supplied ammunition and ordnance to the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War.

For photography lovers:
The building is a really cool stone structure. I most liked the color of the doors…especially in winter. I think the snow adds to the appeal. The property is on a hill so not ideal for family portrait but could maybe for self portraits like i did, or any individual or pet shoot could maybe work. The sunset is nice and there is a lake in the distance when looking at the well so maybe a telephoto to pull it in closer could work.

While the building itself is a good backdrop and I love the door color and brick layout, the property does not offer enough variety and it sits on a hill which isn’t good for younger kids. Worth checking out for bloggers (like myself) but not good to recommend to clients
